An ambulance is quoted per configuration, never from a list price. The chassis usually accounts for 35-50% of the total; the medical module, electrical system, equipment and compliance work make up the balance. Two vehicles on the same chassis can differ by a factor of two once equipment and certification are fixed.
There is no meaningful list price for an ambulance. A basic van conversion and a box-body intensive care unit may share the same chassis, yet the finished vehicles serve different clinical roles and carry entirely different equipment. Publishing one number would either overprice the simple build or underprice the complex one, and either way the buyer discovers the truth after the deposit.
Four variables move the number most. Drive configuration: a 4x4 chassis costs materially more than 4x2 and is often mandatory for rural referral work. Module construction: an insulated sandwich-panel medical cabin costs more than a van conversion. Electrical architecture: a dedicated auxiliary battery bank, inverter and shore-power inlet is a significant line item that cannot be retrofitted cheaply. Equipment: ventilators, defibrillators, infusion pumps and oxygen systems are normally sourced to the buyer's preferred brands and priced separately.
Compliance and documentation also carry real cost. If the destination market requires a specific standard, type approval or third-party inspection, that scope is written into the quotation at the start. Buyers who compare a compliant quote against a non-compliant one are usually comparing two different products, even when the chassis badge is identical.
The practical route is a build list. Give us the destination country, the clinical role, the crew size, the equipment that must be carried and the quantity. You receive a configuration-level quotation within one working day. Because every line is itemised, the quotation is comparable with other suppliers line by line rather than as a single opaque figure.
We deliberately do not quote ranges. A range invites comparison against a specification that does not exist, and buyers then discover the real number after paying a deposit. A configuration-level quotation takes one working day and is accurate.
It can be issued EXW, FOB or CIF. Tell us the destination port and the freight line is shown separately, so you can compare it with your own forwarder.
