Police and Security Vehicles, Built to Order

AUTOSMODS builds police and security vehicles to order: the Zhenhu B-level armored personnel carrier for 10 crew, PTU charge vehicles, mobile police stations, patrol vans and electric patrol vehicles. Conversions integrate warning, lighting, surveillance, protection and public-address systems with the OEM electrical architecture. We are listed in China's Ministry of Public Security police-vehicle procurement catalogue, and the export specification is agreed per destination market.

Police vehicle procurement is rarely about one vehicle. It is about a formation — how many units carry how many officers, which vehicles go to a public-order event, which one stays parked as a station, and what happens when a vehicle is damaged and needs to return to service. The specification has to survive that operating reality, not just a demonstration.

Our builds start from a chassis that already has the load rating and the electrical headroom for the conversion. Protection level, warning and lighting packages, surveillance and communication equipment are then layered on with their own power circuits, so adding a radio or a camera later does not mean re-engineering the loom. Armored variants use a high-mobility off-road chassis; patrol and station variants use van platforms, including all-electric for city duty cycles with depot charging.

Configurations

Each configuration is a starting point — equipment, layout and finish are set per order.

01Armored personnel carrier

The Zhenhu APC carries 10 crew behind B-level bulletproof protection on a high-mobility off-road chassis, for counter-terrorism, deterrence patrols and tactical assault support.

02PTU charge vehicle

A public-order platform that integrates warning, lighting, surveillance, protection, public address, communication and dispersal systems in one body, so a unit deploys as a single coordinated asset.

03Mobile police station

A self-contained post for traffic services, patrol control, emergency-call handling and community service — parked where a permanent station is not justified but presence is required.

04Patrol van and EV patrol car

Crew transport and rapid deployment for armed police and county detachments, with an all-electric variant for city duty cycles served by depot charging.

Where it is used

The same chassis carries different bodies depending on who operates it and what the duty cycle looks like.

Counter-terrorism and SWAT

Protected mobility for teams that must arrive intact and dismount ready, on surfaces a standard van cannot cross.

Public-order policing

Coordinated warning, lighting and communication for large events, demonstrations and crowd-management operations.

Traffic and highway patrol

Vehicles sized for long shifts, with the equipment storage and warning systems highway work actually needs.

Community policing posts

A parked, staffed presence in high-density areas where a full station is neither affordable nor necessary.

Questions buyers ask

What does B-level bulletproof protection mean?

It is a protection classification used for the Zhenhu armored carrier, referring to the ballistic standard the body is built to. The exact standard and test documentation are confirmed in the contract against your procurement requirement, because accepted levels differ between markets.

Can the vehicle be supplied without armor?

Yes. Armored protection is one configuration. Many fleets order unarmored patrol, PTU and station vehicles where the threat profile does not justify the weight and cost of armor.

Do you supply police vehicles for government tenders?

We are listed in China's Ministry of Public Security police-vehicle procurement catalogue, and we regularly supply through tender processes. Tell us the tender reference and technical schedule, and we will confirm compliance item by item.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One unit. Fleet orders are quoted per vehicle, with the same configuration repeated so spare parts and driver training stay consistent.

How is the electrical system handled when equipment is added?

Conversion equipment runs on dedicated circuits with its own protection and switching, integrated with the OEM architecture rather than tapped onto existing looms. That keeps warranty behaviour predictable and simplifies later additions.

Why is there no price on this page?

Police vehicle cost is driven by protection level, chassis and the electronics package. A number quoted before those are fixed is not comparable between suppliers, so we price against a defined specification.
