AUTOSMODS builds utility service vehicles to order for power, municipal and highway maintenance crews: tool storage, cable reels, cones and work platforms on light-truck and 4x4 chassis, plus lighting rescue trucks and high-flow drainage units for flood and standing-water response. Bodies are laid out around the equipment a crew actually carries, and an all-electric chassis option is available for city duty cycles.
| Vehicle types | Utility service truck, lighting rescue truck, high-flow drainage truck |
|---|---|
| Chassis | JMC light truck; 4x4 pickup; all-electric option |
| Body equipment | Tool cabinets, cable reels, cones, work platforms, lifting lights |
| Drainage capability | High-flow pumping for flooding, mine dewatering and water transfer |
| Layout method | Body arranged around the crew's work sequence, not a fixed parts list |
| Quality gate | 21-point factory inspection before delivery |
| Order size | From one unit |

| Homologation | Final specification agreed at contract stage per destination market |
A utility truck is a workshop that has to arrive organised. If the cable reel is behind the cones, the crew unloads half the body to reach it, and the job takes twenty minutes longer every single time. That is the cost of a body designed from a parts list instead of from a work sequence.
We lay out the body around the order in which the crew works: what comes out first, what has to stay dry, what is heavy enough to need a low shelf, and what has to be reachable from the pavement rather than the road. Light-truck chassis carry the volume; 4x4 pickups carry the same kit to places the truck cannot go. Both are available with an electric drivetrain where the duty cycle and depot charging support it.
Each configuration is a starting point — equipment, layout and finish are set per order.
Tool storage, cable reels, cones and a work platform on a light-truck chassis — the general-purpose body for power, municipal and road-maintenance crews.
A high-capacity pump set on a truck chassis for urban flooding, mine dewatering, irrigation and temporary water transfer between reservoirs.
Mobile lighting for night work and emergency response — roadworks, utility repairs, disaster scenes and pipeline or gas incidents.
The same body on an all-electric chassis, for city duty cycles where noise and emissions at the work site are a constraint.
The same chassis carries different bodies depending on who operates it and what the duty cycle looks like.
Cable, tools and access equipment organised so a repair can start without unloading the body.
Street furniture, signage, drainage and general repair work within a city boundary.
Lane closures, cones, lighting and work platforms for crews operating on live carriageways.
High-flow pumping and mobile lighting when water or darkness is the emergency.

Yes — that is the point. Send the equipment list with approximate dimensions and weights, and we will propose a layout with the work sequence in mind rather than fitting your kit into a standard body.
Where the vehicle returns to a depot each night and the daily distance is predictable, yes. It also removes engine noise and exhaust at the work site, which matters for night work in residential areas.
Pump capacity is selected at order stage against the duty — urban flooding, mine dewatering or water transfer have very different requirements. Tell us the volume and head you need.
Often, yes — a service body with lighting and a pump set covers routine maintenance and first response. Fleets that do both heavily usually split them into two vehicles.
One unit. Municipal buyers typically trial one body layout before standardising across a depot.
The body and equipment usually cost more than the chassis, and they change with every equipment list. We price against a defined specification.

Chassis selection is driven by payload, wheelbase, drive configuration and local service support, not by brand…
TechnicalCan vehicles be supplied in knock-down form for local assembly?Partially. A full CKD programme for a converted vehicle is rarely practical, because the value is in the fitting…
TechnicalCan you build a vehicle to our own specification rather than a catalogue model?Yes. Every unit is built to order, and a fully custom specification is a normal project rather than an exception. The…
Shipping & after-salesHow are spare parts supplied after delivery? Two categories are handled differently. Chassis parts come through the chassis manufacturer's local dealer network…
What comes out first, what must stay dry, and what the crew reaches from the pavement — we will lay the body out around it.
