Yes. Buyers and their technical consultants are welcome to visit the production facility, see vehicles in build, and meet the engineering team. A visit before the specification is frozen is more useful than one after, because it lets you see what the factory can actually do rather than what a brochure claims.
The most useful time to visit is during production of a similar vehicle, not during a quiet period. Seeing a body at the electrical installation stage tells you more about workmanship than seeing a finished vehicle under showroom lighting, because the parts that will never be visible again are exactly where quality shows.
A useful visit has an agenda. Bring your specification or your open questions, ask to see the inspection records from recent orders, and ask to walk the whole flow rather than the showroom. If a supplier resists showing the workshop, that is information in itself.
For larger contracts, a formal audit is worth the effort: quality management documentation, calibration records for torque tools and test equipment, traceability of materials, and the corrective action process for defects found at inspection. These are the things that distinguish a factory that inspects from a factory that improves.
Logistics are simple. Visits are arranged in advance so the right engineers are available, and a translator can be provided if needed. Allow half a day for a proper walkthrough; a two-hour showroom visit answers very little.
In most areas yes, and customers are encouraged to photograph their own vehicle during build. Some customer projects are confidential, so we ask that other customers' vehicles are not photographed in detail.
Yes, and it is worth doing. The design review is more productive when the people who will make the decisions have already met.
