A mobile base for a drone team: flight control positions, satellite link, video downlink and conferencing, all in a Transit T8 body. It lets a UAS crew launch, fly, watch and report from one vehicle instead of three, and it keeps working where the cellular network does not.
| Base chassis | Ford Transit T8, long wheelbase, high roof |
|---|---|
| Flight control | Two operator positions with ground station displays and video wall |
| Links | Satellite communication, video downlink and MESH networking |
| Power | On-board generator with battery charging for aircraft and payloads |
| Storage | Locked aircraft cases, battery charging cabinet, tool and spares drawers |
| Delivery | Complete vehicle, configured to your aircraft and ground station |
A drone team operating from a car boot spends most of its time on logistics: unpacking, charging, finding a surface to put the ground station on, and improvising shade so the operator can see a screen. A purpose-built vehicle removes that overhead, which is why the same crew can fly more sorties per day from a vehicle than from a car.
The interior is arranged around the flight cycle. Aircraft cases are stowed where they can be lifted out without moving anything else, batteries charge in a ventilated cabinet with a fire-resistant lining, and the operator positions face the video wall rather than a window. Blackout blinds let the crew see the screens at midday.
The satellite and MESH links mean the vehicle does not depend on local infrastructure. That matters for disaster response, border patrol and any deployment where the first thing to fail is the mobile network.
Each configuration is a starting point — equipment, layout and finish are set per order.
Two operator positions, video wall and a charging cabinet for a mapping fleet.
Satellite link, MESH and a conferencing position for reporting to a command centre.
Detection and jamming equipment provision with a dedicated power circuit.
Single operator position with a large screen for infrastructure inspection work.
The same platform carries different fit-outs depending on who operates it.
Aerial assessment where roads and networks have failed.
Persistent aerial observation from a mobile base.
Power lines, pipelines and bridges surveyed from a vehicle-based team.
Every unit is re-engineered to your specification.

L4 autonomous chassis with vehicle-mounted drone for combined air-and-ground unmanned patrol of parks, roads and events.

Carries a large tethered drone with loudhailer, lighting and signal-relay modules for sustained high-altitude coverage.
Yes — in a ventilated cabinet with a fire-resistant lining and a dedicated circuit. Battery chemistry and count determine the cabinet specification; tell us what you fly.
Yes. Satellite and MESH links are specified for exactly that case, with the antenna suite sized to the vehicle.
Yes. Send the ground station model, screen size and power requirement and the operator positions will be built around it.
